Dr. Andreason is a board-certified ophthalmologist and physician with extensive surgical experience and expertise, specializing in advanced cataract surgeries, including astigmatism and presbyopia-correcting lenses, LASIK and laser surface ablation, dry eye disease, pterygium, and comprehensive ophthalmology, treating patients with corneal disease, diabetes, glaucoma and a wide variety of eye conditions.

Dr. Andreason grew up in Western Montana where he came to appreciate wide, open spaces and hard-working people. After volunteering two years of service in South America, he graduated cum laude with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and Physics minor from Brigham Young University, where coursework included studies with renowned poet Gonzalo Rojas.

He received his MD from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, and completed his Ophthalmology residency in San Antonio, Texas, in 2004, while serving in the United States Air Force. Subsequently, he completed fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at UC San Diego.  His years in the Service included care of active duty servicemen and women, their families, and retirees; joint assignments with Army and Navy; years at the trauma hospital in Landstuhl Germany, caring for many injured soldiers transported there directly from the Middle East; deployments to East Asia and Iraq; and many humanitarian missions from Latin America to Eastern Europe.

He is married to April Sessions Andreason, and they have five children.
